These are goose barnacles that are considered a delicacy in Spain and Portugal. Percebes are harvested in the northern coast of Spain. Price for this treats is very high because violent sea makes it dangerous business collecting them. Usually preparation consists of steaming or boiling them. Only a leg part under the shell should be eaten. Percebes are delicious and fun to eat.
